Refinery flare at Valero in Benicia. The Air District is aware of the flaring and has inspectors on site investigating. Inspectors are responding to public complaints, documenting any violations of air quality regulations and assisting first responders as needed. Residents should follow instructions from local health officials. The Air District is monitoring this closely. Check back for updates.
