The Air District and the steering committee for the Richmond–San Pablo Community Air Monitoring Plan will host the Path to Clean Air Community Summit on Saturday, November 2, from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium located at 403 Civic Center Plaza in Richmond.

Spare the Air Status

The summit will allow stakeholders to learn about current progress on the air monitoring plan, engage with steering committee members and plan partners, and share input on the initial air monitoring objectives and other plan-related topics. Youth performances and tours of mobile air monitoring equipment will also take place. Lunch, Spanish interpretation and childcare will be provided at the meeting.

Under the Air District’s Community Health Protection Program, the Richmond-San Pablo area was selected as a priority community due to its high cumulative exposure burden to air pollution. In accordance with California Assembly Bill 617, the state directs local air districts to work with heavily impacted communities on emission reduction programs and/or air quality monitoring campaigns.
