The Bay Area Commuter Benefits Program(165 Kb PDF, 4 pgs, revised 05/29/15) requires all employers in the Air District’s jurisdiction with 50 or more full - time employees to offer commuter benefits to their employees.

The Air District and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission have submitted a report to the California Legislature(1 Mb PDF, 24 pgs, revised 03/07/16) summarizing the results of the Commuter Benefits Program in expanding access to commuter benefits and reducing motor vehicle trips and emissions. The report to the Legislature draws upon findings from a survey of Bay Area residents(1 Mb PDF, 40 pgs, posted 01/15/16) who work for employers that are subject to the Program.
