The Bay Area Healthy Homes Initiative, or BAHHI, is a program that seeks to improve health outcomes for the Contra Costa and Alameda County residents living in the areas most impacted by traffic air pollution. The Air District is advising Bay Area residents that smoke from the wildfires around California is impacting many parts of the region. Particulate pollution from the fires increased late Saturday, with high levels throughout much of the Bay Area Sunday morning. Particulate pollution levels are expected to remain elevated through today and may not ease until Monday.
