Smoke from the Somersville Fire is expected to impact air quality in Contra Costa County on Wednesday evening. Residents in affected areas should stay alert to news coverage and health warnings related to smoke. Check air quality at fire.airnow.gov and take steps to protect your health from smoke. Learn how at www.baaqmd.gov/wildfiresafety. Pollution levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect.

Regulation 3: Fees - 2022 Amendment (Superseded)
Learn about the Air District's development process for amendments to Regulation 3, which would increase fee revenue to help recover a greater share of the costs incurred by the Air District in implementing and enforcing regulatory programs.

Amendments to Regulation 3: Fees include new fees and revisions to specific fees schedules. The proposed amendments were presented and discussed at two Budget & Finance Committee meetings and at two public hearings. The first public hearing was held on May 4, 2022. Public comment on the proposed draft amendments and associated documents was accepted through May 25, 2022. Responses to comments were sent and are summarized in the Staff Report. At a second hearing on June 15, 2022, the Board of Directors adopted the Regulation 3 amendments, which are effective July 1, 2022.
