Very high inland temperatures in the 100’s and weak afternoon sea breeze, along with motor vehicle exhaust, will create elevated concentrations of ozone, or smog.

This open house will be held at Lincoln Elementary School in Richmond starting at 6pm. The public comment period for these rules and amendments closes on Friday, Oct. 2.

Smoke from the many fires throughout California, Oregon, and Washington is continuing to heavily impact the Bay Area and is forecast to produce unhealthy air quality in the region through Monday.

This action will require Martin Marietta to cease all sand and aggregate processing operations by October 31, 2023, and comply with dust control provisions until it vacates the site.

The program is designed to improve air quality in communities by replacing polluting wood-burning heating devices with cleaner heating options.

This SamTrans project will help accelerate the transition of the SamTrans bus fleet to zero-emission technology and improve air quality in communities most affected by air pollution.
