Flare Advisory
Refinery flare at Valero in Benicia. The Air District is aware of the flaring and has inspectors on site investigating. Inspectors are responding to public complaints, documenting any violations of air quality regulations and assisting first responders as needed. Residents should follow instructions from local health officials. The Air District is monitoring this closely. Check back for updates.

Guidelines and Procedures
These guidelines and procedures are a resource for Air District staff and the public to answer questions about inspections, compliance, enforcement, and to help train new inspectors.
As new guidelines and procedures are developed, some of them may undergo a public comment period before final release. If so, they will be posted on the Public Notices page.
