The Air District has settled a case against Chemtrade West US LLC for air pollution violations at its chemical plant in Richmond. Chemtrade will pay $135,000 in civil penalties.    

The Air District has fined Chemtrade West US LLC $160,000 for air quality violations at its sulfuric acid manufacturing plant in Richmond, which is connected to the Chevron Richmond refinery. Chemtrade supplies various chemical products to industry, including sulfuric acid, which is a byproduct of refining crude oil.

The Air District announced today that Air Liquide Large Industries, US LP, has agreed to pay $159,000 to settle violations that occurred at its hydrogen plant at the San Francisco Oil Refinery in Rodeo.
