The Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s 2018-19 Winter Spare the Air season ended February 28, with 16 Winter Spare the Air Alerts called from November through February.

The Air District’s 2017-18 Winter Spare the Air season ended February 28, with 19 Winter Spare the Air Alerts called from November through February. 

The Air District is opening a search for innovative and disruptive technologies that can help combat climate change and improve air quality in the Bay Area. 

The Bay Area Air District is asking Bay Area employers to sign the Cut the Commute Pledge to extend remote work options for employees and maintain our air quality progress even after shelter-in-place orders are eased.

The Air District joined the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and other local agencies to reach a settlement to reduce harmful air emissions at Lehigh Cement and Lehigh White Cement portland cement manufacturing plants nationwide, including their Cupertino plant.
