This new web tool allows the public to access enforcement information concerning NOVs issued to facilities across the Bay Area.

The Air District is issuing a Spare the Air Alert for tomorrow, Tuesday, December 26, which bans burning wood, manufactured fire logs or any other solid fuel, both indoors and outdoors. Although gathering around a fireplace may be a Christmas tradition for many, there are serious health impacts associated with wood burning. Use of all wood-burning devices is prohibited.

The Air District announced today that it has successfully secured a Closure Plan and Agreement with Martin Marietta, terminating operations at its Bayview Hunters Point sand and aggregate processing site at Pier 94. This action will require Martin Marietta to cease all sand and aggregate processing operations by October 31, 2023, and comply with dust control provisions until it vacates the site.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is the first of its kind issued by the Air District and honors the distinguished career of those serving to improve air quality and protect the climate for all residents of the Bay Area.

Air quality in the Bay Area is forecast to be in the good range. Winds are currently blowing smoke from the Wragg fire burning near Lake Berryessa to the north and east of our region. Smoky conditions have been observed in Yolo County and parts of the Sacramento region.
