The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for Thursday, September 17 through Friday, September 18, due to possible smoke impacts from wildfires. There is no Spare the Air Alert in effect Thursday or Friday and air quality is not expected to be unhealthy.

The Air District is offering $6 million in grant funding to public agencies to support projects that improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing vehicle trips and miles traveled in the Bay Area.

Air quality is expected to be in the good to moderate range on the Air Quality Index.

Lofted smoke is expected to cause hazy and smoky skies but pollution levels are not expected to exceed federal health standards and no Spare the Air Alert is in effect. Air quality is expected to be in the good to moderate range on the Air Quality Index.

Smoke from fires across Southern California is expected to continue to impact the Bay Area, with smoky and hazy skies. Pollution levels are not expected to exceed federal health standards and no Spare the Air Alert is in effect for Wednesday. A Spare the Air Alert remains in effect for today, September 21.
