The Air District has been awarded $15 million in federal grant funding to spur the creation of a more robust, accessible and equitable electric vehicle charging network across the nine counties of the San Francisco Bay Area. 

The Air District has issued four violations to the Chevron refinery in Richmond for the December 28, 2016, incident that resulted in an upset and flaring at the refinery and many odor complaints in San Francisco and Richmond.

The Clean Air Center Program provides funding for county agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area to create a network of clean air centers to mitigate the adverse public health impacts due to wildfires and other smoke events.

The Air District has approved a $100,000 grant to the Prescott-Joseph Center for the expansion of the Breathmobile to children and families living in the cities of San Pablo and Hayward, and the neighborhood of Chinatown in Oakland.

The Air District announced today that Radius Recycling, formerly Schnitzer Steel, has agreed to pay $575,000 to settle air quality violations that occurred at its facilities in West Oakland and San Jose. The penalty resolves eight notices of violation.
